This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What do you remember most about school? Is it the academic lessons you learned in the class or the fun social interactions you had with your teacher and classmates while creating arts and crafts?

Holidays are a special time of the year for children!

On the very first day of school, I was already asked if we would be reading 'scary' stories in anticipation and celebration for Halloween. With this in mind, I want to create a magical space for my students to be engaged in learning prior to Halloween season. My plan is to hang candles and witch hats from the ceiling to create an alluring place for my students to learn.

For the winter holidays, my students will create decorative crafts for both the classroom and also to share with their families at home.

Some of the supplies I have requested include: glow in the glass beads, fillable ornaments, floating candles, witch hats, shredded crinkle confetti, and glitter pipe cleaners.

Of course after crafting, there is clean-up. No greater way to clean little desks smeared with glue, glitter, and germs than disinfectant wipes. Kleenex facial tissues are for little runny noses during the winter and holiday seasons.
