My Students

My students are energetic, creative, and excited to learn! They love hands-on activities where they can connect what they learn in school to real life! As a second year NYC teaching fellow and DOE self-contained teacher, I am more determined and prepared to tackle creating a vocation for my classroom and promoting independence.

My middle school special needs students are at a crucial age where they must learn vocational skills to prepare for career readiness!

They return to school every Monday expressing how much they missed school and how they're excited to learn. They are ready to try new things and grow both academically and professionally each day. It is my job to teach them and prepare them for their futures.

My Project

Picture category, verb, noun, and adjective cards can be used for ABA teaching and incidental learning for my emerging reader students and ENL learners. These materials will help me and my paraprofessionals teach without error in their workstations. I appreciate all the donations from my previous Donors Choose and thought of some more items my students would benefit from since I had more donations after the project got fully funded. Thank you again for all of your generosity. The candy melts and candy sticks are to make & sell candy in our annual marketplace where my students make must-have mustache lollipops! The dry erase markers are used frequently and we have already run out of our stock.

These items will benefit my students in Special Education in all learning environments.
