My Project

My students love the idea of applying engineering concepts to build a lego themed holiday display for their learning community.

Applying engineering principles thought building a holiday-themed Lego city requires students to apply engineering principles such as structural stability, balance, and design aesthetics.

They will need to consider the weight distribution of the buildings, the use of supports, and the overall layout of the city to create a visually appealing and structurally sound environment.

Promoting creativity and innovation: Designing a holiday-themed Lego city allows students to showcase their creativity and innovation by incorporating festive elements and unique features into their city. This process encourages them to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to design challenges.

Building a Lego city often involves fostering teamwork, collaboration, problem solving and sense of community. which helps students develop essential teamwork and communication skills. They will need to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and work together to bring their vision to life; overcoming creating solutions for the challenges that arise when building. A holiday-themed Lego city can serve as a focal point for the peers, bringing people together to celebrate the season and enjoy the students' creations. This sense of community can help students understand the importance of their work and the impact it can have on others while highlighting how engineering builds the worlds we live in.
