Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, but they have also not yet read Mr. Popper's Penguins.
We are a third grade class in a small town in Texas.
My students are very hard workers who are learning to love reading. We have completed one literature unit so far and the students loved it. Mr. Popper's Penguins is such a fun book, I know my students won't want to put it down.
My Project
With this donation, we will be able to do a literature unit to dig deep into the story and analyze each chapter. In doing this, my students will be learning skills they need for standardized testing as well as having fun along the way. This type of project will also allow students to create a love for reading.
Your donations will help to create a love of reading in all of my third grade students.
I have some students who are right on the border of loving or hating reading, and a book like this will help them to see how much fun reading can be! Thank you for considering a donation to our wonderful class!
