This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

About My Students

Kaylee, Lusmary, Chantal, And Jaidy are my students. These girls live, breath, and eat softball 24/7.

The girls got the idea to create this project after going to the batting cages one Saturday and seeing how there was nobody feeding the pitching machine. After that they asked me is there anyway that our pitching can have a feeder so they can go and work on there hitting and timing.

The skills my students will develop are not skill taught in a classroom. Yes, by having the feeder the girls will be able to improve their timing when up at the plate or increase their hitting power. The skill that these girls will develop is teamwork. This is a skill that 10-20 years later they will always remember. They may not remember the slope intercept formula but they will remember being at softball practice and working with their teammate toward a common goal.

In Their Own Words

We want to go play varsity softball at the high school level as a freshman. After that most of us want to go to college to play college softball and maybe one day play for team USA.

Well with this project we want to post it on or facebooks and instagram to let out friends and family know that we are trying to get some equipment that will help our softball team be successful.

This project will help the girls that have a hard time hitting improve and practice their skills. Also it will help free the coach up so he can go work with the pitchers and other positions when we are having batting practice
