This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal of the project is for students to work to create and paint a mural that showcases the rich history of our school. Our High School started as an all black school serving the Corpus Christi area. The school at the time was small but mighty. They were state champions in football and had an incredible baseball team. The school is now an alternative high school that provides 2nd chances to students that have found themselves at great risk of dropping out. It provides hope for those that feel hopeless. We remain small but mighty. This mural will allow them to work together and have a hand in the history of the school.
