My Students

My students are brilliant, kindhearted, ambitious dreamers. They never give up and our classroom motto is "YET". They can't do it...yet. They haven't learned it...yet. They strive for excellence. It is impressive given any student especially their age, but it is also worth noting that these students attend a Title I school. The school has a very high number of students receiving free lunch and breakfast and most of them live below the poverty line. Any average person could make predetermined judgments about these students, but you would honestly have to meet them to believe them! They have so much spunk, motivation, talent, humor, drive, and skill that I am in awe daily! They deserve THE WORLD!

My Project

It is no secret that the future of our classrooms are unknown right now. The world we live in has been flipped upside down, something many of my students are struggling with currently! One thing that is for certain however, is that we will be making up for a good bit of lost time. Whether it be for academics, socialization, or just enjoyment, my students need BOOKS, and this is the perfect time to find books that correlate with our social studies standards and add some hands-on learning. To contribute to this project would be to benefit my students in multiple ways while also giving them a gift they will surely remember.
