My Students

History is not something you can simply learn in a text book, you must be able to see it. The program will bring artifacts to the school to allow children to explore history.

My student are a multi- cultural group who come from many different parts of the world, it is imperative that they learn the history of the United States.

In order for our children to become productive citizens they need to understand how our Country came to be.

My Project

The students need to learn how the United States became a country. In order for children to become productive members of society, and vote they need to understand how the system came to be. The Historical Society is conducting a program that teaches the children this history. They bring artifacts and other tools used by the people in the past. The students are able to use them, touch them, and interact with an educator. This makes history something real, not just a story.

If we cannot get students to take an interest in their Country's History, they will not be able to understand the how to become a productive citizen and vote and understand the way Democracy works.
