My Project

In my classroom, students are expected to read 40 books each school year. They also have requirements for genres to read, so that they can experience a wide range of genres and maybe find new ones that they would like. These books will help us expand our informational non-fiction section and biography sections, which will allow students more choices when picking books to read and finding their "just right" book for them. Students need people who look like them in their books, and history books about their history. These books would allow me, and us, to have more representation in these areas of our library, and allow my students more choice in what they decide to read to meet their genre requirements.
