My Students

My students are bright and enthusiastic about learning. They are fun, inquisitive and understand the importance of a good education. They know they are in a school where teachers care about their learning and how they learn. My students are children in ICT settings as well as the NEST classes. We learn differently, yet we learn the same.

Every child deserves to learn and reading is key.

That being said, I am looking forward to getting my students into some historical fiction!

My Project

I am trying to fund some books that depict historical fiction during the American Revolution. This is one of the units that we study each year and it would be great to have resources to support the curriculum. Students are so removed from this time period, that this book is easy to read, understand and puts the student in that era.

Read, learn and enjoy.

Sometimes a good book instills reading in children, and sometimes a good book can teach how history has made a difference in our country. It needs to encompass a good story along with the truth. Best of both worlds!
