My Students

A typical day consists of my students being engaged in various learning activities.They are encouraged to use their senses and work independently,collectively,and seek guidance whenever needed. Our class motto is"Anything is Possible" and each day my students strive to achieve endless possibilities!

My students are extremely inquisitive and have a great desire to learn.

They are most engaged when technology is implemented in a lesson, which creates a more interactive classroom environment. My school is located in a Central Harlem area within a low-income urban community. We are currently a Title 1 school, which provides limited resources, and our budget is frequently cut. Therefore, materials needed are unavailable and hinders our students from many learning opportunities. We have a "Yes We Can " attitude and work hard to support their overall learning.

My Project

The resources requested for my classroom will have a major impact in supporting my ultimate goal of my students gaining ownership in their learning. The mini iPads will support the literature discussed during our daily literacy time as well as increasing phonemic awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, and fluency. It will also aid in developing strong mathematical skills with practicing and mastering various mathematical concepts. The other technical items such as the printer and microphone will create an effective and efficient classroom environment while keeping the students engaged! By using the assorted paper, colored pencils, and other school supplies this will allow the students to show thinking and creativity.

Donations to this project will improve my classroom greatly.

The resources will help my students in many ways and will serve as a vehicle in their overall education. Each material requested will assist in promoting a class environment that allows my students to work independently as well as making discoveries with their peers. Your generosity will help make this dream become a reality and because of that we will forever be grateful!
