Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in class consists of my students working together and interacting in order to gain experiences and knowledge as it relates to science.

My students are very technology driven, given this day and age, but we have little to no technology in the class, so it is challenging to get them engaged.

I know if provided with the right resources and tools they are going to be extremely successful.

My Project

A projector for our classroom is going to be our biggest and greatest resource. With a projector, I will be able to show my students visuals, presentations, videos, and play interactive games with them on the big screen. This will keep my students engaged and interested in the content. Since a lot of my students are visual learners this will be their greatest asset. Students will be able to create PowerPoints related to the topic we are learning about in class and present that information to their peers. I will be able to create Keynotes or PowerPoints to deliver key information to my students through the projector I would get through this project funding. With the interactive periodic table chart, we will be able to take a closer look at the periodic table, how chemical bonds are formed, look at elements electron configuration, and so much more.

This donation will improve my classroom just by the simple fact that they will be able to look at content in a different way and will be able to dig deeper into the content through visuals and videos of the subject we are learning about.

This will allow most of my students to grasp and understand the content in whole new way.
