My Project

Social Emotional Leaning is a vital part of any successful classroom. Social Emotional Learning helps build better relationships, improve resiliency and behavior, as well as help students prepate for the future. All of the items in my project will help students be successful in my social studies classtoom. Fidget toys will help students regualted their emotions and their behaviors. Plants and air freshners will help create a learning environment where students feel safe and ready to learn.

Incorporating SEL into the classroom not only supports students’ emotional and social development but also creates a more effective and harmonious learning experience.

Tissues and paper towels are practical necessities that contribute to the cleanliness, health, and smooth operation of the classroom. These necessities will help students focus on learning.

Student mental health will also be supported through the use of Jenga. I use Jenga to create review games for students to practice content/skills and improve their memory. Jenga is a fun way to review lessons and keeps students engaged.
