This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a low socioeconomic background in New York City. My school is a Title I school and I teach Visual Arts. I travel from room to room and this project will allow my students to get up and have movement when I visit them for art. They haven't had any music or art class for many years are they need both!
My Project
My students are back to school full time after a whole year home. They are energetic, but are lacking much needed movement. They spend the whole school day in their classroom and I’d like to incorporate movement and dance when I visit them for visual arts. I travel from room to room and need a high quality speaker to get our exercise and dance on! I feel it is so important for children to move around and I want to share my healthy lifestyle with them. Please help me incorporate this into my teaching.
