My Students

"Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." - Frederick Douglas; My 80 awesome students are continually striving to learn to read or perfect their reading. We practice guided reading daily and students are able to take home books from my classroom library on their independent reading level.

My Project

Many of my students love to read so much. Oftentimes, they do not have books at home or have books that just aren't on their reading level. To eliminate this type of book desert, I let students take books out of my classroom library to read at home daily.

High interest books, such as graphic novels, truly inspire my students to read.

I believe the books on this list will not only inspire my students to read but create a love of reading for a lifetime. Thank you for your help!
