This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am building my classroom library to have more non-fiction and high-interest books for my students.

It has been difficult for me to find informational books and graphic novels in Spanish that are accessible to my first-grade readers.

The books selected will help build my leveled library and foster the love of reading with high-interest non-fiction books and graphic novels, while my students develop their skills as readers and their Spanish vocabulary.

My classroom is a Spanish immersion classroom so it is challenging to find high-interest books in Spanish that are accessible and of interest to my students.

My students will love the addition to the classroom library.
