Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students take pride in attending a Title I public school that offers grades 9-12. Many of our athletes live in low-income homes. Most of our student-athletes have never played softball yet a sport before, but are intrigued to learn. Unfortunately, we have no budget, to provide the basics for our players.

My Project

Our students come from various different backgrounds, and many come from low-income homes. They often refrain from playing sports because they cannot afford the equipment to play.

With your help, our students will have the necessary training and safety equipment to compete on many different levels.

These resources will help them become a part of a team and will allow them to shape their own personal characters in a positive way. This equipment will allow them to play and practice with the safety measures, despite how we are facing differences due to the situation we are all in. It will be something that they look forward to doing and will make them feel confident to play or to try something new. This will also make them appreciate all the help they have been given to then return it back to the community.
