Help Mrs. Pope

I teach a wonderful group of 3 to 5 year old children with a wide range of physical and mental disabilities. During the school year, I do everything that I can to improve their intellectual, physical, and social skills. For some children, the improvements are huge, for others the steps are small, but substantial. I would like to have a video camera for my classroom so that I can document the successes that my children have accomplished during the year. I would tape them at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. I would also video them when I first introduce a skill, and then, when the skill is mastered. I believe that the parents of my children would love to be able to see the improvements (big and small) that their children have made during the school year. I also think that the teacher they have the following year would benefit from actually being able to see where their new students have come from. Another advantage of having a digital video camera in the room, is that I could tape the children while they are singing, reading, or performing favorite activities. All children love to see themselves on TV. I am also asking for some mini DVD-Rs to go in the camera. At the end of the year, I would send home a copy of the DVD with each child for them to enjoy over and over. This is why I am also asking for a DVD burner and blank DVD-RWs. This DVD burner will also allow me to put the pictures that I take of my students with my digital camera onto disks for the parents also. Thank you for helping teachers to teach children!
