My Students

We love classroom pets! You can enrich our classroom by helping us care for hermit crabs and learn more about them through literature and hands on activities.

The 20 students in my classroom attend a school in Southwest Virginia.

They began first grade this year at varying levels, and I need many different materials so I may continue to challenge all of them. My students love hands-on materials, working together, and anything that is new to them.

My Project

Having live animals in our classroom will enhance the excitement my students have for learning and school. They can be in charge of their learning by caring for the hermit crabs, naming them, and researching them by reading the books I am requesting.

This is my second year teaching and my first year teaching first grade.

Donations to my classroom will be used this year and hopefully for many, many years to come. Please help these students start their school lives off with an excitement for learning.
