My Students

Hello everyone,

My students are a joyful, energetic, and curious bunch of bees that are eager to learn and explore.

They demonstrate curiosity as learners through their engagement and participation during our virtual morning using the online Reading and Math program that is provided. In our classroom, we work on many different things like social-emotional development, phonics, mathematics, and reading. Over this school year, our classroom became a community where my students feel comfortable and safe to express themselves, their interests, and ideas.

The majority of my students come from low socioeconomic families and don't have many resources available to them outside of the school setting. For me as an educator it is essential and my goal to provide my students with various manipulatives, books, and materials that will allow them to continue to express themselves freely within the home setting. Providing my students with the necessary supplies and materials will allow them to learn.

In our school, we have two Pre-k classrooms and two 3-K classrooms. Currently, I teach students in the Pre-K class who are fully learning remotely. All the teachers and I collaborate closely together in creating the best learning space we can for our students.

My Project

These materials will be hand-delivered by me to each student at their home. With these at-home learning kits, it will allow my students to grow as learners within the home setting. Students will be able to engage in subjects like math, literacy, writing, and arts & crafts by using the materials within the at-home learning kits. Subject areas that students are taught are phonics, mathematics, social-emotional, literacy, and arts & crafts. With the help of the at-home learning kits, it will allow my students to have the needed materials to learn, prosper, and thrive as scholars.
