My Project

My students are amazing. We recently were blessed with a new addition to our classroom, a visually impaired student. My students have opened their hearts to him by becoming friends, and helpers. They laugh together. They play together. They work together.

A dream that I have is for my whole class is for them to read together.

My student was injured in the first grade. He does not know his letters, or his sounds. His story is tragic by looking at him you would never know. He smiles the brightest smile. I am requesting a reader pen with bluetooth headphones so he can learn how to hold a book and that words are read left to right.

This pen also has the capability for him to take a picture of a word and tell him what the word is. If you could see how many photos that he has take with my cell phone to zoom in objects so he can see. I know that he will love this feature. He loves technology as he tries to pay with my apple watch everyday. He will love this reader pen. It will open new doors for him.
