This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our tennis team consists of less than 16 players. I am striving to develop the love for tennis in our players and the drive to continue playing for years to come. Since we have a very small team, we struggle to have funding throughout the school year. Our goal is to provide our players with all the equipment needed to learn and love the game.
MHS has the smallest tennis program in our school district.
We range with an average of 10 players. We are always looking for opportunities to have our students play. We strive to have all players play as much tennis as they can. Because we look to participate in as many games/tournaments as possible, we need a lot of balls, a travel cart to hold the balls, and a tennis ball machine to help with practice. Most tournaments require 1 can of balls per player. We look forward to being able to participate in more games this season!
