This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing skills to understand and manage emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. SEL provides a foundation for safe and positive learning, and enhances students' ability to succeed in school, careers, and life. My students have different diagnoses from autism, Down syndrome, learning disability, cerebral palsy, cognitive disability, ADHD, and more. It is critical for our students to learn the importance of managing our emotions, building positive relationships, and making positive decisions. Due to the needs of our students, we have to provide as much support as possible to help them succeed in school and life. We will use the requested books, snacks, and plush toy to help them regulate their SEL.
