Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing students with basic life essentials is extremely important. As a counselor, I strive to help improve the lives of students by providing them with the necessary tools to achieve success. Statistics show that millions of students don't have enough food to eat at home. This significantly impacts their education and emotional well-being.

One thing I love about my school community is that it has a diverse population of newcomers.

However, being new to the country has many challenges. Learning a new language can be overwhelming and may leave students feeling lost and unable to seek help. Many of my students struggle in temporary housing with lack of food and/or proper clothing and school supplies.

Your donations will help combat hunger and improve outcomes in the classroom. With these snacks, stress ball/fidgets, as well as the pencils, folders and pens, my students will be able to focus more on their academics and improve their grades. It will also help create a welcoming environment where students feel valued and supported.
