My Project
I am looking for funding support for Orton-Gillingham training to enhance my capabilities as an intervention teacher. I am eager to acquire specialized training that will significantly benefit my students.
The Orton-Gillingham approach is a structured, multi-sensory method designed specifically for individuals with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.
It's systematic and explicit instruction in phonics, decoding, and encoding strategies has been proven effective in improving reading, writing, and spelling skills, particularly for struggling learners.
As an intervention teacher, I frequently work with students who require personalized instruction and support to overcome reading challenges. By undergoing Orton-Gillingham training, I will gain valuable expertise in delivering targeted interventions tailored to individual learning styles and needs.
Here are some key points:
Efficacy: Orton-Gillingham is widely recognized as one of the most effective interventions for students with dyslexia and related learning difficulties. Investing in this training will enable me to provide evidence-based instruction that yields measurable improvements in student literacy outcomes.
Differentiated Instruction: The Orton-Gillingham approach emphasizes personalized, multi-sensory teaching techniques that accommodate diverse learning styles. With this training, I will be better equipped to differentiate instruction and support all students, regardless of their reading level or learning challenges.
Long-term Impact: By equipping me with specialized skills and strategies, this training will have a lasting impact on student achievement, empowering them to become confident, proficient readers who are better prepared for academic success.
