Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The cottage will encourage interaction and provide a place where students can practice their play and imitation skills. Social-emotional and communication skills are an area of growth for most students with disabilities.

By providing students with appropriate items, they are able to practice their play skills in a fun and engaging way during their recess, or outdoor movement.

It also encourages other life skills such as emotional regulation, problem-solving, and motor skills.

The freedom of play helps with stress, it encourages a positive and creative environment, and can be a gateway to improving language skills.
