Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year our students have been given the opportunity to partner with Carnegie Hall and they will be performing with and meeting professional musicians in May. In preparation we would like to give our students the opportunity to get their hands on instruments. For many this will be the first instrument they learn to play, and keep. With the purchase of these recorders each 3rd grade student will receive their own instrument. For many this will be their first woodwind instrument.

This will be their intro to playing in an ensemble.

The recorder will prepare them for learning other woodwind instruments giving them the basics to learning how to read musical notation, fingerings, and performing.
