Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, technology plays a vital role in how students learn, grow, and explore the world around them.
Each student has access to a Chromebook, but many of our headphones are no longer working—tangled, broken, or missing sound in one or both ears.
That’s why I’m requesting a new set of headphones for every student, so each child has their own reliable tool for learning.
Headphones are essential for many of our daily activities. Students use them to complete personalized lessons on i-Ready Reading, especially in phonics and vocabulary, where listening is key to understanding. Headphones also support students as they listen to read-alouds, watch educational videos for research projects, create digital comic strips using Pixton, and use accessibility tools like speech-to-text.
Having individual headphones will eliminate distractions, help students focus, and allow everyone to fully engage in their learning experience. With your support, we can ensure that all students have equal access to the tools they need to succeed.
