My Students

My students are from an inner-city, Title I school. They attend a school where 100% of the students receive free lunch and approximately 40% of the students are homeless. My students are eager to learn and play the game of baseball, but do not always have the financial support for equipment and supplies.

Many of my students live in high poverty communities.

Baseball provides them with opportunities to develop skills in teamwork and collaboration, physical exercise, and the possibility of athletic scholarships for college.

My Project

This project will help our student-athletes by providing them with practice and safety equipment not provided by the school district and too expensive for most of my players. The items on our project list include equipment and supplies we will need to be competitive.

Your donations will make our team more prepared for the upcoming season.

The items in this project include bats, balls, practice nets with batting tees, protective gear, and pants. Last year, we had to borrow bats and we ran out of baseballs. We don't have our own baseball field at the school, so the batting nets with tees will help our players practices skills in a limited space. The protective gear and baseball pants are specialty supplies player's families often have difficulty providing.
