My Project

I am a counselor in a school dedicated to helping children with special needs. I serve children aged 5-12, which is grades K-5. Our school does have sites all across Staten Island though, which also serves special needs children grades K-5. We focus on social skills, coping strategies and overall how to increase positive behavior while providing the best education possible. We strive to keep children engaged in academics while ensuring their overall safety and well being. With extra supplies such as fidgets and manipulatives, we can motivate the children to release their negative emotions in a more positive manner. Thank you!
