Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials and items on my donation list are things my classroom is currently running out of. I have been able to supply students, both past and present with previous donations and other items that have been donated or purchased on my own. Sadly, the need for more items has grown.

Many of my students are in need of basic hygiene products and are sometimes too embarrassed to ask for help.

I have created a system in my classroom where students can enter when needed and take what they need. These same students will return to resupply the bins when they can, but it is not very often.

Having a supply of pads for our female students is always a benefit. Many times during middle school students are surprised when they need one and don't have one in their lockers. Students will also benefit from having body wipes to stay fresh if needed, deodorant and hand sanitizers. I have included more bins so we can have them throughout the 7th grade classes.
