My Students

We are a Title I school and we actually just became a school where all students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Our demographics are changing, but one thing that does not change is how excited our students are to learn. We try to keep the kids very engaged through blended learning, personalized learning, and also through departmentalized learning. I will be helping teach math to various students throughout 2nd through 5th grade at an appropriate pace for each individual student.

They do a lot of independent learning while I teach to small groups.

My students need headphones in order to listen to instructional videos and play educational games that is related to their specific math standard. It's hard to concentrate when everyone is listening to a variety of things, so headphones are so crucial to effective learning and teaching!

My Project

My students do a lot of online learning through their devices. Whether it's listening to a video about how to round or multiply, to practicing their facts, playing games to practice their particular skill. We use programs like Dreambox, Reflex, Edpuzzle, YouTube, and our own Learning Management System. They all do a little bit different things at once with our personalized learning.

In order to minimize sound and distractions, headphones really help!

Not all my students can afford their own pair, so these will stay in my room for them to use! They will be used every single day for effective learning!
