Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school's motto is "College begins here!" My students are goal-driven and hard working but are unable to have the hands-on science experience they need without these important -- living! -- supplies.
My 4th Graders are a really sweet bunch.
They are hard working and excited to learn. Our Title I, low income school is making good progress every day. This is thanks to our caring parents and goal-driven administration. We work together as a strong team and focus all our energy on ensuring our students make the most of every day at school.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to explore Environmental Science as scientists. They will put together goldfish aquariums to learn about organisms and their environments. They will conduct experiments, make objective observations, and learn the importance of respecting living things. They will learn firsthand how to create a healthy, safe environment for goldfish.
Our kids will learn to work as scientists on a team.
I am confident this Science unit will motivate the students to learn about aquatic life through reading, writing, and investigations.
