This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Title I cross-country team is composed of dedicated young athletes who face significant financial barriers. Providing duffel bags and high-quality socks will make a substantial difference in their training and competition experience.

Duffel bags will offer our students a practical and organized way to transport their gear to practices and meets.

Many of our athletes currently use makeshift solutions, which often leads to misplaced or damaged equipment. A reliable duffel bag will help them keep their uniforms, running shoes, and other essentials in one place, fostering a sense of responsibility and organization.

High-quality socks are crucial for preventing blisters and ensuring comfort during long runs and races. Proper socks will help reduce injuries and improve performance by keeping their feet dry and well-supported. This small but significant improvement in their gear will enhance their overall experience and allow them to focus on running their best.

Our primary goal is to provide each student with the essential equipment they need to participate fully in the cross-country season. By equipping them with duffel bags and quality socks, we aim to improve their performance, enhance their comfort, and ensure they have a positive and rewarding athletic experience. We hope to instill in them a sense of pride and belonging in their team.

Our students are remarkable for their resilience, determination, and enthusiasm despite facing financial hardships. They approach every practice with unwavering dedication and a willingness to overcome obstacles. Their passion for running and their commitment to personal growth make them truly exceptional.
