My Students

My school is located in a low-income neighborhood with students from diverse backgrounds. Over 95% of the population qualifies for free school meals. We are a Title I school. My classroom consists of special needs students who put their best foot forward every day.

My upper elementary are eager to learn and deserve quality materials.

With differentiated learning needs, having the right materials and resources is key. Each student is unique and has different learning styles. We deserve quality resources and experiences that will shape their future. Being that we are a Title I school, however, it’s often a challenge to find funding to purchase materials and resources. Basic classroom supplies and technology are in high demand in our school. Our students deserve to experience high-quality education and resources to nurture their learning experience.

My Project

These materials will help keep my students air circulation safe during these unpredictable times. These materials will make a tremendous difference for the daily routines in the classroom. Something as simple as an air purifier will help my students and families with reassurances that we are taking the appropriate precautions. There can be a lack of air circulation in the classroom and we are eager to return but I would like to ensure some safe guards for the cohort hybrid schedule. The air purifiers will allow students to be able to socialize while maintaining social distancing cues with even better air.
