My Students

I teach kindergarten at a public school located in Brooklyn, New York. I have the cutest group of children. They are all so special in their own special ways. We are a Title One school, and most of the children come from low-income, non-English speaking homes. Many of them come to school just to have a meal and someone to actually care about them.

Things we often take for granted are often hard for my students to get.

I'm looking for ways for the children to get a better understanding and a love for school and reading.

My Project

Kindergarten is the foundation of learning. Please help me in giving my students new leveled books that they are excited to read! I taught the upper grades for many years. This year, I begin an exciting journey of teaching kindergarten. I feel that kindergarten is the beginning of their journey in learning and to be excited about learning. I noticed that my new room needs a complete make over, starting with the classroom library. Please help me in purchasing new books for my special kindergarten class that are new and not falling apart at the seams.
