Do you remember walking into Kindergarten for the first time and seeing all kinds of new "school things" you couldn't wait to touch! My kids need a few basic items to help with hands on learning.
My Kindergarten students are very active and learn best by exploring.
I teach in a rural Title 1 school in Ohio. Many of my students have not attended preschool, so this is their first experience in a structured environment. My students are excited about learning and they love coming to school!
My Project
My students need a pocket chart stand, pockets charts, pocket chart cards and a book display shelf for literacy centers. My students will love the new pocket chart and materials. I will write out songs, poems and simple sentences we have practiced as a class. During learning centers, the kids will be able to play teacher and read to each other. Their confidence will soar and they will become better readers! The kids would also love a book shelf that displays books we are reading in class. They will be able to find their favorite books quickly. This will help save time during independent reading. With the help of this equipment, my students will have fun while learning to read and write.
These items will make a huge difference in our classroom.
My children will be able to learn to read and write, build confidence and have fun with each item we are requesting. The kids will be able to learn literacy skills with a hands on approach!
