Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students of my class in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan are amazing. There are 17 hard-working, multicultural, and eager students in this top 4th grade class. Ours is a Title I school and all of the students in my class qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Almost all of the students speak Spanish in their homes and English at school. My students are Dominican, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Ecuadorian.

Simply speaking, my students are exceptional and deserve the best education, opportunities, and technology.

My Project

The students of Class 401 need a new document reader in our classroom because our last one just broke in the middle of a lesson. We need a document reader for many different reasons but most importantly so work can be modeled by the teacher and students. This document reader will be used in every lesson of the day. Without a functioning document reader, it is very difficult for the students to see the modeled work. It is one of the most vital educational tools that we have in our classroom.We really would appreciate your generosity in helping us to fund this project. Thank you!!!
