This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from all parts of the city. They come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 80% of our students receive free lunch. The budget for simple things, to be able to play a sport, such as athletic gear, uniforms, balls, bats gloves etc., needs to be divided between 10 other teams in the building which makes it difficult to get the necessities needed every single year. Also, a lot of our families don't have the means to pay for certain things a student might need in order to participate in a sport, such as a glove, and we need to find a way to provide it.
My Project
Our team is ready to make the leap from good to great. We have made the playoffs the past two seasons but have fall just short. We believe that if he had the right training wear in order to get ready for the season that we would be a great team. For example, the PowerNet Baseball Softball 7x7 Practice Net Bundle w/ Travel Tee will help us practice our hitting by doing soft toss in our gym space. The PowerNet Weighted Hitting and Batting Training Ball (6 pack) will help us gain strength in our swings and hopefully hit some homeruns for every donor who chooses to help us. The Running Speed Training ,Kuyou 56 inch Speed Training Resistance Parachute Umbrella Running Chute & Fitness Explosive Power Training will help our players with overall fitness while working on their speed to help with stolen bases this year.
