My Project

I am the new librarian and hope to revamp our school's media center makerspace. Makerspaces are places where students can create, build, imagine, and work collaboratively to problem solve.

As I begin to craft and reimagine the makerspace area at my new school, I hope to bring in supplies that have proven effective in my previous teaching experiences.

The floor puzzles will aid students in sharing with peers and the farm and geography themes are part of the kindergarten curriculum. The wooden train sets and building straws and connector sets are great for helping students develop fine motor skills as they work together to build their creations. Snap circuits and batteries are needed to make them work as effective tools to help older students understand electricity in a hands-on way.

Please help our media center continue to be a place of learning, comfort, and joy for students of every age!
