My Project

I love my students’ curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to our classroom. However, many of the books in our library are outdated and severely damaged, limiting their access to engaging, high-quality reading materials. My goal is to create a library that reflects their identities, interests, and learning needs while fostering a lifelong love for reading.

The books I’m requesting will make a tremendous difference by providing diverse stories, popular graphic novels, and STEM and history-focused titles that will spark curiosity and inspire learning.

Students will see themselves in characters from different cultures, abilities, and experiences, helping them build empathy and confidence. High-interest series like Dog Man, Pigeon, and Cat Kid Comic Club will encourage reluctant readers, while bilingual books will support language learners. The addition of acrylic desk file sorters will help keep our new books organized and accessible.

My students are special because they are eager to learn, explore, and grow. By updating our library with engaging, inclusive books, I can give them the resources they need to develop strong literacy skills and discover the joy of reading. With your support, we can turn the page on outdated materials and build a vibrant library that meets the needs of every student.
