Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Do you remember when you first discovered you "love for reading"? How you wanted to read every chance you got? My students are beginning to make this discovery but unfortunately they don't have access to many books in their classroom library.
My students are eager third-graders in a very low-economic New York school district.
Most of whom school is the only place where they have the opportunity to pick up a book. I would love to foster their love for reading by providing them with a classroom library, but without your help this will be impossible. Please help us build a classroom library that has a variety of books that will create life long readers.
My Project
The books and bins that are requested will help support a classroom library for my students. Right now their library is comprised of items that I have recycled from my own children and a few that I have been able to acquire through magazine orders. It is difficult for my students to engage in pleasurable reading, because most of the books are above their reading level. your donation will help to secure a true love for reading and increase chances of comprehension with "just-right" books available to them. The bins are to organize the books by levels to offer students a leveled library that will give ease in selection.
I really would love to meet the needs of my students by supplying them with books on their level that they can enjoy.
Without your donation my students will not enjoy the opportunity to read on level books at their leisure during this school year.
