My Students

This past year my sixth, seventh and eighth grade students learned in a completely digital setting. Only about 10% of my students returned in person to learn for the last two months of school. I want to focus on giving helping meet my students social and emotional learning needs. This means promoting a fun atmosphere that encourages our youth to participate in group sports with their peers.

I strive to empower all my students to grow and be the best that they can be.

I want to give my students a great educational experience and have a FUN experience in our physical education program! All of my students are eligible to receive both the school breakfast and lunch daily for free. Most of our school population takes public transportation. We serve a very large and diverse ESOL population.

My Project

We do Circuit Training with our students throughout the school year. We always incorporate a fitness step station. One of the biggest issues with utilizing them is transporting them from the equipment closet to where we set up the station where twelve students can be active at a time.

The fitness step cart will help us mobilize the fitness steps.

In fact, I think we would be more likely to utilize them more often with the addition of a cart to easily wheel them out and back into the equipment closet.
