My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school, my students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Since we spend such a great deal of time with them we want them to know that learning can be fun, and give them the tools they need to be successful.

My students are inquisitive, curious and very eager to learn.

The students in my room love using technology throughout the day for learning.

Many of my students are being raised in single parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, some of these things may prevent them from having the technology they need in their daily life to suceed. As their first school experience I want to strive to make it one they will always remember.

My Project

I teach a special education bridge class with both kindergarten and first grade students. Having an iPad accessible would help in so many ways. While I am working with my kindergarten group, my first graders would be able to use the iPad to practice the skills taught in class independently. The same would apply when I am working with my first grade group. The iPad would be put to GREAT use and would help my hard working students practice the skills and strategies needed to make progress in all areas such as Science, Math, Technology and Literacy. Please help us make this possible.
