This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The new school year is fast approaching, and I cannot wait to welcome the new incoming 3rd graders into my classroom. After taking some time to reflect, I have thought of some items that will help my classroom run smoother and support my students.

Help me instill organizational skills into my students with items in this project.

One big important item in this project is the 10 drawer organizer. I will be able to utilize this drawer to organize classroom materials by day. Students will be able to find missing work (if absent) easily. Students will also be able to turn in material by day in the bottom drawers helping them stay organized. The wireless microphone will help me project my voice throughout lessons to help save my voice (especially during the first few days of school), but also allow all of my students to hear me. Students get excited about writing when they see color and options. The sharpies and gel pens will be replenished in our writing station to create excitement. The laminator will be used throughout the year to make lasting projects and labels to put up around the classroom. The class set of clear bags will be used to hook on students' desks to keep pleasure reading books safe and easy to come back to. Finally, the book in this project will be used as a mentor text for writing block.
