This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi, I am the Students Run LA coach at Carver Middle School. My SRLA superstars are always eager and motivated to run. We are currently training to run the Los Angeles Marathon this school year. The students are very dedicated and committed to running after school two times a week. We run almost run 3 miles a day in preparation for the big day. I would love to store cool drinks and snacks for them to have after their practices. I want to make sure that my team always has all the necessary materials, especially when motivated to complete a huge goal as running the Marathon! Would you please help me provide this for my students?

My Project

This project will help my students stay cool, hydrated, and healthy when training for SRLA. The students currently stay after-school to run and exercise with their team. We typically meet on Mondays and Tuesdays and run 1-3 miles after school around the community. The practices serve for our monthly races that are anywhere from 3-18 miles. Our BIG goal is to run the LA Marathon. We can accomplish this goal with your help! We need to ensure that our students are hydrated and eat a light snack after practice and before walking home!
