Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fabulous! They come to class ready to learn, ready to work, and explore new things every day. They are an energetic crew that wants to learn. They set goals for themselves and then strive to meet them both at school and at home.

My second graders live in a rural/suburban public school district.

The majority receive free or reduced-price lunch. They are constantly working to better their reading level and increase math skills, and they love learning new concepts in both science and social studies.

My Project

Some of my students have difficulty using the trackpads on their Chromebooks and the wireless mice will help them so much by relieving their stress and increasing their confidence in online learning! Also, as the world moves more toward streaming video content, our library still has MANY learning DVDs that we need an external DVD drive to be able to use on our smartboard.

My students also need to make connections in the "real world".

We want to paint the kindness rocks and mail them to friends and family throughout the United States. I hope to expand their view of the world especially now when they have been spending so much time at home.
