Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class consists of an awesome group of 23 students, located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. I am creating this project because 88 percent of my students are testing in the intensive for reading. With this huge amount in intensive, I want to be able to give them the best resources in order to get them into the green and ready for 2nd grade.

What better way to do this than by providing them with hands on phonics during centers will be used to help my students reach these goals.

My goal is while pulling small groups and using various items to make their learning fun, I can provide the other students with activities to reinforce the skills that are being taught.
