Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Nearpod will significantly enhance my students' learning experiences by providing an interactive and engaging platform tailored to their diverse backgrounds and learning abilities. Nearpod allows for real-time interaction during live lessons and enables student-paced learning for those who may be absent. This flexibility ensures that all students can stay on track with their coursework, especially crucial for seniors as they prepare for graduation. The platform’s interactive features—such as drawing on maps, responding to polls, and participating in gamified quizzes—foster collaboration and immediate feedback, making lessons more dynamic and relevant. It allows me to differentiate for all my students. Ultimately, Nearpod empowers students to take an active role in their education, deepening their understanding of civics, government, and economics.

Unfortunately, my school won't renew our account.

I started using Nearpod during covid and have completed over 723 lessons. Nearpod is crucial for maintaining the quality of your lessons and fostering an interactive learning environment.

My students are truly exceptional due to their resilience and diversity. Living in New York City, they come from various backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom discussions. They started high school during the pandemic, which has made them adaptable and resourceful. Nearpod would allow me to leverage the technology that my students are comfortable with and enjoy using. Nearpod aligns perfectly with their affinity for devices, making learning more relatable and effective. They are eager to learn and actively engage in civic issues, demonstrating a strong commitment to understanding their roles in a democracy. Their enthusiasm for making a positive impact in their communities sets them apart. By using Nearpod, I aim to harness their potential, empowering them to become informed, engaged citizens who are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
