Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a low-income area that has a great community with lots of support. They work hard for themselves and for their families. Many live in situations where they are in one home with over four families living together, yet they come to school every day ready to learn and grow.

Our school does as much as it can to help and assist the families of our students and we strive to make a better future for them to live in.

My Project

All the students at our school have a small number of balls and other equipment to play with during physical education and recess times. Many of our supplies have either broken or are so old that they can't be used any more. The students miss playing football during recess and many of the girls in our new basketball team would like to be able to practice with a real basketball during recess, instead of a dodge-ball. Please consider helping our students continue to have an active and engaging outdoor recess. It helps them to stay healthy and happy. Thank you for your consideration.
